As any regular reader of my columns knows, my 1987 Sota Star-Sapphire turntable has been at the heart of my audio system for the better part of two decades.

Music playback has been special around these parts since I took a leap of faith and auditioned a mere fuse. 

The Vera-Link Wireless amplifiers come as a pair, as noted, with proprietary banana-ended cables and robust power supplies for each. 

The revenge? No. No need; it never lost and wasn’t wronged. It was more like regret. Yes. Regret of Enleum.

Three years ago, I placed the NSMT Loudspeakers Model 100 floor-standing speaker on The Stereo Times “Most Wanted Components of the Decade List.”

I’ve been interested in some hands-on time with the LSA HyperDrive 2 Hybrid Stereo preamplifier/headphone amp since its introduction by Walter Liederman’s underwoodhifi.com earlier this year.

Getting my thoughts together took a while before I transferred pen to paper for this review. As I thought before I took on this project, “not another cable review.”

Depending on whom you ask, our hobby either needs more oscilloscopes (objectivists), fewer designs-by-ear (also objectivists), more record players (people with too much time and/or money on their hands), or more young people (older people).

This review on the Philharmonic Audio BMR Tower speaker, which retails for $3,900, was inspired by many of my readers who sent numerous emails requesting that I would do a review on the company’s reference floor-standing model. 

My journey in high-end audio has evolved immensely within the past 15 years. I have had the luxury of experiencing a plethora of audio equipment via purchasing, auditioning, and reviewing.
